Our Favorite HerbalistAs those who know of Illinois Cocker Rescue and its rescued dogs, we go to great extent to cure their ailments in a natural manner by bolstering their immune systems using both nutrition and supplements. We feel that if the immune system is strong, the body has an awesome ability to fight back. This has proved well over the years and we have cured many health conditions in our rescues that had been unable to be cured in the past. I recently had the honor to connect with Rosemary Cascio-Sinclair at the Ruidoso Herb Stop and was very impressed with her knowledge of herbal remedies and her ability to put together formulas to help specific ailments. We are currently working with her to help some of our rescues. The Ruidoso Herb Stop is a botanical medicine shoppe where we specialize in custom-prepared herbal formulas for humans and animals. In our eleventh year of operation, we listen, help and teach classes. This is why we are. Some of our most popular custom formulas and their primary
ingredients are listed below.
We can custom prepare formulas to suit your needs or those of your companion animals, or simply answer your questions. Please contact us by phone at 575-257-0333 or email us at Ruidosoherbstop@hotmail.com. Rosemary Cascio-Sinclair I grew up learning herbs from my grandparents on their dairy farm in Wisconsin. My Grandmother was from Switzerland and my Grandfather was from Canada, a full-blooded Blackfoot Native American, who taught me to honor the plants and Mother Earth and to be kind to all animals, for they are here to teach us about love. Here I learned to be silent and to watch. "From
this we learn," my Grandfather would say, and he hardly spoke
the words. Yet with his eyes and in my mind I would hear him. To me,
he was the original "Animal Whisperer," teaching me to connect
to the animals. My Grandmother would prepare all the dog food for
their hunting dogs. I would watch as she added different herbs
to their food. On the farm I would follow my grandparents to
gather herbs and learned from them how to gather and use them.
I remember picking a certain plant that my Grandmother said made her
birds sing better. We would put this in their cage and they eagerly
ate it. I don't remember if they did actually sing more and
better--but in my heart I feel they did. |
