In Loving Memory of Sammi

Thirteen years ago, Mikki and I
discovered our Sammi at a shelter. She was a one year old, stray Cocker without any
identification. We knew she had been abused because whenever we tried to hold or pet
Sammi in those early days, she would cry and move away. We sought to heal her by
giving her all the love and attention we had to give.
Sammi was a great gift to my wife, myself and our entire family. She gave all of us
great joy and pleasure. We had a very special relationship with Sammi filled with
mutual respect and love. She was part of our family and we all loved her dearly.
My daughter used to tease me because Sammi's photograph came first in my wallet,
even before those of my grandchildren. Sammi loved our grandchildren and would sleep
with them whenever they spent the night.
We will always love our Sammi and dearly miss her.
